Anne-Marie Körling is a teacher, lecturer, and author. From 2015 to 2017, she served as Sweden’s National Reading Ambassador. Over the past two decades, she has visited countless schools across Sweden as a highly sought-after speaker, giving lectures on topics such as reading and writing instruction, literature discussions, relationships and classroom culture, and the importance of reading. She has also written several books on these subjects.

Anne-Marie is deeply committed to children’s right to make meaning, express themselves, and have a voice in their own learning. Nödig (illustrated by Louise Winblad) is her first children’s book. In 2022, she was awarded the Swedish Academy of Children’s Books’ Eldsjäl Award, which recognizes individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to children’s literature and reading promotion.
