Ellen Ekman (b. 1986) is an illustrator and cartoonist who has quickly established herself as a creator of picture books. Her comic strip Lilla Berlin appears regularly in Dagens Nyheter and other newspapers in both Sweden and Norway.

Ekman made her picture book debut in 2016 with Waiting for Monday, created in collaboration with Elin Johansson. The book garnered significant attention, and a sequel, Home for the Summer, was released in 2018. Together with Lotta Lannebo, she has created the books about Olle and Bolle and their slightly stressed-out mother. She has also illustrated several of Lennart Hellsing’s verses, in both board book and anthology formats. In 2019, Ekman released her first picture book as a solo author-illustrator, Idde and Hajen.
