Ellen Svedjeland, born 1979, lives in Umeå, the far north of Sweden, where she works as a teacher. A Room for Lisen was written together with Elin Johansson. They started their writing journey together during a writing course at Umeå University. In 2021, A Room for Lisen was nominated for the August Prize.
