Astrid Lindgren’s Christmas gospel Christmas in the Stables has become something of a classic and has by now been read by generations of children. This atmospheric story about the baby born in the stable on the very first Christmas night was first published in 1961. This newer edition is masterfully illustrated by Lars Klinting, who created a suite of wonderfully beautiful images to accompany Lindgren’s story.
