On a farm called Katthult in Lönneberga lived a boy called Emil. With golden hair, bright blue eyes and a kind look about him, no one would expect him to be anything other than a sweet little angel. But alas, sometimes appearances can be deceiving, because Emil was wild and stubborn, and he made mischief almost every day.  Like when Emil stuck his head into the soup tureen and got stuck! And since his mother would not allow for the tureen to be smashed into pieces to free her son’s head, they sat off for the doctor in Mariannelund.
