Emil and his little sister Ida lived on the farm Katthult in Lönneberga. Emil did mischief almost every day, so he mostly sat in the shed, far away from the wrath of his father, which he actually didn’t mind much. But little Ida was never allowed there. So, she decided to do something mischievous enough that even Emil was made anxious. But Ida didn’t end up in the shed for it. Emil did. Which goes to show that the world is not a fair place.
