Terrible Things Nobody Can Know: The Wooden Boy/Fruktansvärda grejer som ingen får veta: Pojke av trä
Hedda spends every lunch break alone in the school’s neglected basement library, hidden behind the shelves with Tolkien, chocolate and the hope of being invisible. Then Felix Bergstrom Rodriguez, the boy everyone notices, suddenly wants to talk to her. He has a secret so strange that only Hedda might understand: a small wooden boy has appeared in his wardrobe, eating jam sandwiches and watching Netflix. As Hedda and Felix try to work out where he came from, their investigation leads from school corridors to dark woods and the discovery that someone has been reading figures out of old books. Pinocchio may be harmless, but another creature is not. A monster with tentacles, claws and glowing eyes is loose in town, and it knows that Hedda and Felix are getting too close.
Terrible Things Nobody Can Know: The Wooden Boy is the first book in Terrible Things Nobody Can Know, a six-part horror adventure series where classic literary characters and monsters escape from the books from whence they came. Written by well established author Martin Olczak, and sparsely illustrated by Lina Blixt, the series combines school realism, friendship, first-crush awkwardness, literary mystery, and classic horror chills.
