After three years in Sweden, Salar gets on the train. He does not know where he is going, only that he must leave again. After a dangerous journey through Europe, Salar ends up in Paris, and a tent camp at Porte de la Chapelle. There he meets Najib, who helps him deal with the difficult life as a refugee in France. Among rats, fear and police raids, a friendship develops. A dark and honest novel about a young man fighting for his dignity in an inhumane system.

Annelie Drewsen has done extensive research and interviewed young people who live on the streets of Paris after not getting asylum in other European countries, and written a fictional story based on real circumstances.
