The Princesses’ Preschool: The Pea/Prinsessornas förskola: Ärten

At the preschool where everyone is a princess, we do things the princess way. Princesses wear beautiful dresses—sparkly ones with lovely ruffles—and prefer to drink juice from crystal glasses; the day begins with princess games like “Hide the Pea.” Everything is exactly as it should be—until a new teacher arrives.

The new teacher shows up in really strange clothes: jeans and a striped sweater. She has never heard of “Hide the Pea,” she packs plastic cups for the field trip, and she even thinks we princesses can bake our own pastries. Surely, that’s not how things are done?
Or is it?

During a day filled with play, adventure, and a bit of unexpected messiness, we might discover that things can work in more ways than one. Or, at the very least, the teacher learns how things are—and how they ought to be—at the Princess Preschool.
