Noisy Village
In the Swedish countryside lies a small noisy village with three farms where six children live. Three girls, Lisa, Britta and Anna, and three boys, Lasse, Bosse and Olle. Together they spend their days playing in the hills, feeding the lamb, trawling for crayfish, and climbing the mountains surrounding their country haven. Life in the countryside invites for a lot of adventure, but the biggest adventure to date is when Olle gets a little sister, Kerstin.
Created by cherished author Astrid Lindgren, The Children of Noisy Village have captivated young readers since the 1960s. Beloved by all, the six inseparable boys and girls have made children of the late 20th century and early 21st long for countryside camaraderie.
“I feel sorry for all children who don’t live in Noisy Village”, says Anna.
